After this scandal of fox news allowing for the story of Shirley Sherrod accusing her of being a racist on the grounds of a bogus video which had horrible editing and was completely taken out of context. I do believe that the white house did overreact to the charges but it was the right winged media that started the scandal on false grounds. Now this whole scandal has taken away attention from some major victories in congress such as the passing of the economic overhaul as well as the extension of the unemployment benefits of many Americans who would’ve struggled and the the overhaul being the biggest economic reform since the great depression and allowing the government to be able to regulate the economy so we don’t have another recession such as the one that hit us in 2008.
